Footage from Sunday's Group 10/11 race at the 2024 Mitty, held at Road Atlanta... Colin Dougherty won driving the #92 997.1 Cup car, Richard Stuart Milne drove the #54 997.2 Cup to 2nd, and Carmine Reppucci took 3rd in the #165 Cayman.

A 1 hour endurance race at the 2024 Mitty, held at Road Atlanta... The red/black #02 Cadillac Dallara DPi found its way to the top step of the podium once again, while the blue/silver #515 Mercedes GT3 of Shannon Heford/Cory Friedman finished 2nd. The #29 Prototype, the 2007 Elan DP02 driven by Matt Graham, completed the podium.

The 2nd Group 8 race of the 2024 Mitty race weekend did not disappoint! Once again, the race was led and won by Joe Nemechek in the #47 car, with Matt Tift and Stanton Barrett coming in 2nd and 3rd, respectively, just as in race one. I was the corner Marshall at 10 that day, that was so crazy
First off I want to say thanks for your time as a corner Marshall, we all appreciate it- do you know why there was no debris flag displayed in 10a after the 3 car clearly went off track on the lap before the 48 car did? You can see in this video the 3 car dumped debris all over the race surface, but when the 48 car goes off, there is no flag displayed
Thank you for your corner work! Definitely a wild situation with so many powerful, heavy cars to navigate!
@@gimp2xAdding to that, all those cars having unrelated spins at the same corner suggests there was oil on the track.
@@mustang6172 All spins after the #48 going off were a direct result of the gravel on track. He was very fast all weekend and made just that one mistake that ended his race, unfortunately...
@@mustang6172 I was spotting for the 94 car that day, there was no oil down, you'll note most cars spin in 10b, 48 spun entering 10a, the corner workers at 10 should HOLD a yellow flag and be ready to show it, not run back and retrieve it, it's the braking zone of the fastest part of the track, and the gravel is unforgiving
